The Tanita BC418 also provides whole body analysis parameters and fully computer connection via GMON Pro medical database software. The Tanita BC418 Goal Setter (GS) function calculates the amount of fat mass to be lost in order to acheive a specified target, focusing attention on actual fat mass rather than weight, and helping to set realistic goals, motivate clients and increase success rates.

The Segmental Anlsyis also referred to Regional Body Composition Analysis is highly illustrative in both clinical and athlete assessment. The assessments of body fat and fat free mass (% + Kgs) of the left leg/arm right leg/arm and the trunk can be performed.  This is excellent for assessing assymetrical/imbalances in lean mass for athletes. It also provides health professionals valuable information on visceral fat surrounding the abdomin, important indicators for determining the risk of developing clinical diseases.

Results are typically available in just 15 seconds and can be printed using the built-in thermal printer for further analysis. Features a single point load cell, a choice of standard or athlete modes and RS232 computer interface connection.

The Tanita BC418 is available only as a Pillar or Column model, to facilitate the measurment of segmental parts via the feet and hand electrodes.
