Our in-house sport science testing laboratory was opened in June 2010 by Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell MBE and has been approved by RISES – the Research Institute of Sports and Exercise Sciences.

We provide a wide range of physiological assessments to athletes, sports enthusiasts and individuals seeking to improve their health and fitness.

These assessments allow you to develop an understanding of the physiological components that contribute to and affect your performance

This information can be used to develop an individual training programme specifically suited to your needs, helping to improve weaknesses and strengthen performance. Evaluating your performance also ensures that you remain focused, determined and motivated.



We offer a variety of assessments including bespoke packages designed to meet the needs of each individual. Testing can be performed in our on-site laboratory by our qualified sport scientists or we can bring our mobile testing equipment to you.

Our assessments include:

• VO2 max assessment - the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilise at high intensity exercise. From this we can determine your anaerobic threshold, heart rate training zones, energy expenditure and fuel source for a given heart rate.

• Lactate Profiling - the point before lactate begins to accumulate in the muscles. We can then determine optimal training intensities based on heart rate. This is an excellent way to monitor improvement and progress in training.

• Body Composition- assessment of % body fat, % of fat free mass (lean tissue/muscle) and target body composition for your sport, fitness and health.Speed, Agility and Power assessments.

• Flexibility, anthropometric measures and a host of assessments that can be tailored to suit your needs

We also provide the opportunity to rent or hire our equipment with our team of sport scientists providing in-depth training for your staff or you can choose to hire our sports scientist’s services for the day.

Our mobile testing laboratory is available to hire on a weekly or monthly basis or on specified days.
